The 54-year-old music mogul has already decided his four-month-old son Eric, whom he has with his girlfriend Lauren Silverman, will follow his career path by taking over his TV and music company, Syco, in the future.

Speaking to The Sun newspaper, Simon said: "In all seriousness, he's going to do what I do. In time he's going to inherit my business. That's certainly the plan."

The 'Britain's Got Talent' boss wants to introduce Eric to the entertainment industry as soon as possible and is even considering taking him to 'The X Factor' auditions, which kick off today in Manchester.

He said: "I'm going to be in the UK a lot for the foreseeable future and we've got a lot on with the 'X Factor' auditions -- I might even take Eric with me to some of the recordings."

Meanwhile, although he's adamant Eric will become a businessman when he's older, Simon insists he won't stand in his way if he wants to try his hand at singing instead.

When asked how he would react if Eric decided to pursue a singing career, Simon replied: "If Eric wants to try out being a singer, I would be OK with that. I certainly won't stop him.
